TOP TEN THINGS TO DO IN PAROS GREECE PROFESSIONAL
There were workers putting together some Gazebos right in front of us, they had ladders and paint buckets and construction material spread out on the beach, they obstructed our view and it didn't look very professional and the areas was cluttered with their things, and they were all taking cigarette breaks together clustered in front of us. The only two constructive comments i have :ġ. Many people were dancing to the music in the beach bar area. Our kids had a blast jumping on the waves since its windy in that area, they spent hours in the sea. The music played by the DJ gave the beach a very happening vibe. You then follow a path towards the water, to the right is a little chapel, and keep walking until you come to the beach (see map in photos)īest vibes, we were a mix of 6 adults and 7 kids and we all had a good time. You drive up the lane and park where you can (don't block any of the driveways along the way). Right before the Lageri bus stop, there is an almost hidden lane on the left. We loved Lageri beach and we hope you do too!ĭirections: from Naousa, drive towards Santa Maria beach. There is little to no shade, unless you can find one of the few shady spots near the clumps of hardy trees, so bring an umbrella or canopy - but be warned, the winds can be strong - you might need some rope or twine to secure your umbrella or it will blow away. Sunsets are particularly lovely, and the water is crystal-clear, no seaweed, some fish to see, mostly gentle waves, even when the wind is blowing hard. There are no amenities at the beach, so bring anything and everything you might need - but be prepared to carry your supplies over rough terrain as there is no easy way to get to the beach (see my map in the photos), We really enjoyed Lageri and went every day during our 10-day visit to Paros.

Due to remote location, this idyllic beach is popular among naturists/nudists, with the southern end of the beach unofficially designated as the gay section - but everyone is welcome everywhere at Lageri. If you are planning a trip, it’s worth checking out these entries too. NOTE: You can look up a lot more reviews on Parikia under the Tripadvisor entries, ‘Port of Paros’ and ‘Paroikía Páros’. Overall, Parikia was a great choice to base ourselves for 4 nights in Paros. What’s left of the temple is incorporated into the pretty Church of Constantine but it’s the panoramic views from here which is the most impressive part. The other main sights are the Frankish Castle and the remains of the 6th century Temple Of Athena at the top of the old town.
TOP TEN THINGS TO DO IN PAROS GREECE WINDOWS
One of the town’s ‘must-see’ spots is the intriguingly named, Church of 100 Doors (or Panagia Ekatontapyliani), a wonderful 4th century church complex which is all domes, doors, windows and arches. It has a charming old town, lots of restaurants and an attractive port, with colourful fishing boats and a long promenade that stretches right around to Livadia Beach.Įven if you have a very tight itinerary, it’s worth spending some time wandering through the town’s maze of narrow lanes, past whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, small boutiques and brilliant pink bougainvillea. It also feels less crowded and not as commercialised. I loved Parikia - it has as much, maybe more, to offer as the very popular Nouassa. The first thing we saw as we left the port was an old, preserved windmill in the middle of the road. If you arrive by ferry, this is where you will first set foot on land.

Parikia is the capital of Paros and the island’s main port.
